TLAPA DE COMONFORT, MEXICO — The Tlachinollan Human Rights Center promotes and defends the rights of the indigenous and poor people living in the mountain and Costa Chica regions of Guerrero, Mexico. This project supports Tlachinollan's efforts to strengthen access to justice for residents and indigenous migrant workers in the region. The project will build momentum behind justice sector reform in Guerrero and expand people's access to legal representation, counsel, and mediation services.
The MacArthur Foundation awarded Centro de Derechos Humanos de la Montana, Tlachinollan $472,000 between 2010 and 2013.
