IKEJA, NIGERIA — The purpose of this grant is to increase young people's participation in governance and to strengthen democratic processes and institutions. The broad components of the project are: using social and traditional media to mobilize young people on governance and elections; providing new social media support to the Independent National Electoral Commission; encouraging young people's use of the Freedom of Information Act to access information and data; and mobilizing young people to participate in the electoral process leading to the 2015 general elections through face-to-face meetings, debates, and public service announcements.
The MacArthur Foundation awarded Enough is Enough Nigeria $300,000 between 2010 and 2013.
