SHELBURNE, VERMONT — Population Media Center will research, produce and broadcast radio "soap opera" dramas, using proven communication techniques to educate listeners and thus promote changes in knowledge, attitudes, and behavior. The topics will include improving maternal health, promoting youth reproductive health, and encouraging higher levels of girls' secondary education.
The MacArthur Foundation awarded Population Media Center $350,000 between 2010 and 2013.
