BOSTON, MASSACHUSETTS — This grant supports a donor collaborative of MacArthur, C.S. Mott and Rockefeller Brothers Fund for policy-oriented research and outreach convened by Boston and Tufts Universities. The work is directed at gaining a more accurate and precise understanding of the environment and development impacts of Chinese investment in Latin America and assisting policy-makers and advocates to identify and exploit the relevant policy levers that can maximize the benefits of Chinese economic activity in Latin America, while mitigating the social and environmental costs.
The MacArthur Foundation awarded Boston University $306,000 between 2010 and 2013.
