SANTA FE, NEW MEXICO — E-Tech International is a network of oil, gas, and mining engineers that provides environmental technical assistance and training to indigenous federations, local, regional, and national governments, and civil society groups in less industrialized countries that face large-scale development projects. The purpose of this grant is to aid local governments and communities concerned about mining, oil and gas development in Ecuador and Peru, and build an understanding of best practices for the sectors throughout the Andean region.
The MacArthur Foundation awarded E-Tech International $200,000 between 2010 and 2013.
