DURHAM, NORTH CAROLINA — The proposed grant will be used to build a permanent endowment so that CRL can continue its work in addressing the need for safe, sustainable credit products. Earnings on this endowment will allow the organization to engage in a strategic planning process, so that it may address both the current opportunity for implementation of the reforms from the Dodd-Frank bill and its changing role as watchdog for the new Consumer Financial Protection Bureau.
The MacArthur Foundation awarded Center for Responsible Lending $2,000,000 between 2010 and 2013.
